Robert E. Hersman, O.D.
Dr. Hersman grew up in Hopkins and has practiced here for over 30 years. He attended St John's University, The U of M, and received his B.S. and Optometry degrees from Pacific University in Oregon. In addition to primary eyecare and contact lenses, Dr. Hersman is a Low Vision specialist, helping patients with limited sight use their vision to the best possible degree. He is Board Certified in the Treatment of Eye Diseases and works closely with ophthalmology to co-manage eye surgery, including Lasik.
Dr. Hersman is a sports nut, especially golf, and his interest in baseball has led to many years caring for the Minnesota Twins. He and his wife Vicki have four children and enjoy being a part of the Hopkins community. Dr. Hersman was awarded the Minnesota Optometrist of the Year.

Aaron B. Mjelstad, O.D.
Dr. Aaron Mjelstad joined the Hopkins Eye Clinic in 2000. A North Dakota native, he attended the University of North Dakota and received his B.S. in Visual Sciences from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Dr. Mjelstad received his Doctor of Optometry in 2000 from Pacific University College of Optometry, where he graduated with Honors.
Dr. Mjelstad is licensed in the use of therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceutical agents. He has extensive clinical experience and training from the Teplick Laser Center in Beaverton, OR, Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ and Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Wailuku, Maui, HI. Dr. Mjelstad provides comprehensive eye examinations as well as contact lens fittings, LASIK evaluations, and sports vision evaluations.
He is an avid sports fan and enjoys most outdoor activities. He resides in Minnetrista with his wife Kim and their three children.

Kristen Kingsbury, O.D.
Dr. Kingsbury is a native of North Dakota. She attended the University of Notre Dame for two years studying science and business before transferring to the University of Minnesota to be closer to her family here in the cities. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Kingsbury earned her Doctor of Optometry with Distinction from Pacific University in May 2010. She completed internships with honors at Eyecare Associates of Fargo, ND, Allina Medical Center of Coon Rapids, MN, and Northwest Eye here in the Twin Cities. In her free time Dr. Kingsbury enjoys working out and spending time with friends and family.
